Halloween Costume - Cheerio!
This year for Halloween, I'm going as a Cheerio from Glee. Pretty excited about this! The top and bottom I got are pictured below...
I think I'm going to add some striping to the bottom of this...just to make it look a bit more like the Glee Cheerios skirt. It's not fly-away all the way around but it's pretty close!!
I've already removed the "pups" logo from this top and it worked out well. I plan to add the WMHS which should be no problem!
I also ordered some cheerleading shoes from eBay. I didn't have any white sneakers so I figured that was the best way to go. I've debated about getting the red and white pom poms but that just seems like one more thing to carry and worry about losing. I may just carry a Slushy and call that good enough. Hair and makeup will be super simple, high ponytail and just normal makeup! Cheerios Rule!!
Photo of the Day!
Maizie & Mischa in their matching christmas sweaters last year. Maizie liked hers but I think Mischa hated it!
Fantasy Football
So thinks worked ok last week...I won the ESPN league and lost the Yahoo league. Looks like this week may be the opposite or possibly losing both...oh well...on to next week!!

Things are looking good!
ESPN league looks promising so far...I definitely need another solid half out of Philip Rivers....
Yahoo league is still a bit up in the air...If I can get ahead by the end of the day and then have a great game out of AP things should work out...more help from Philip Rivers is needed. Bonus if he connects with Antonio Gates!!

Chickies
It's no secret, Maizie gets lots of treats. She really seems to like these dehydrated chicken things. I feel better about giving her these, since they say greenies have so much sugar in them. We got them at petsmart, they're Canyon Creek Ranch Natural Chicken Treats. They make a chicken and banana combo which I think we'll try next. I'm sure Maizie will LOVE them...she hasn't met a treat she doesn't like yet!
New Bailey Buttons!!
Yay!! I finally got the Ugg Bailey Buttons I wanted, thanks to my mom!! She's the best! They are all water proofed and ready to go. For some reason I never got around to water proofing the last pair of Uggs I had so I'm really happy I didn't screw up with these like I did the last ones! I'm so excited to have these for fall!
Random Photo of the Day
I'm going to try to pick a random photo and post it everyday...it's fun for me to look through all of the pictures we've taken and believe me, there's a lot!!
This one is from a Binghamton Mets game this summer. Geoff and I hosted team trivia for my mother's work in one of the sky boxes...it was a lot of fun!!

Playing in the rain!
Maizie was acting pretty nuts this day. When it rains, water pools in front of the door to our apartment. She just ran outside into the huge puddle. Of course, we had to get pictures!! It was still raining so hard when this was taken. I think it came out pretty cool!
Save the Date
Copy of our Save the Date! We're really proud of this since it took a bit of effort to get the date done in Detroit Red Wings Jerseys. We were travelling to Michigan to go to the U of M game against UCONN and made a point to go to Hockeytown Authentics. We had the idea to do the date in jerseys since we had gotten engaged and chosen the wedding date of 8/13/11, but since we lost that date to NASCAR we didn't think this would ever happen. Once we got to HA and looked around a bit, we asked if they had a Ted Lindsay jersey. We didn't expect them to have one since he played in the 1950's and his number has been retired. We we so lucky that they had one, they brought it out for us to see and we asked if we could take pictures. The staff at HA said there's no way we could do that without permission from the Wings. We really should have played the lottery this day because we got so lucky...Geoff called his contact (he had been working with a girl who does marketing and the signed photos of the players) and she gave us permission to take the pictures we needed! We got the photo we needed and it was so awesome knowing what we were going to do with it. We feel like it came out pretty amazing and it's a pretty unique idea. I'm sure we're not the first ever to do it but we've never seen on done like ours before.
Wedding Invitations
It was a pretty simple process ordering for this seller, lvandy, on etsy.com. I got three chances to proof our invitations before sending them to print and the seller was very prompt with emails and proofs. I think the whole approval process took two days tops. I was able to order any quantity I wanted, so we got a few extras to keep.
Overall, it was a great experience and I'm very happy with the end result! One less thing to worry about down the road!!
Grumpy Skeleton
One of many outfits...she's pouting because I took her pumpkin beer bottle away. She gets to play with the beer bottles once we're done with them. She thinks she's a real drinker!!
Fantasy Football
My fantasy football team for the ESPN league is in the center. Since the draft I've filled empty spots with Michael Vick and Dexter McCluster. McCluster is in today and he's not doing ANYTHING for me. So far this season I've gone 4-0 in both leagues (ESPN & Yahoo)...I'm not sure if I'll keep the perfect record this week. As usual I'll need a big game out of Philip Rivers. He's been great for both teams so hopefully he can get me through this week again. I'm not sure how the Yahoo league will play out today. At least this makes football interesting!

Let's Go Red Wings!!
Geoff and I are HUGE Detroit Red Wings fans...first game of the season is tonight!! I'm very excited for this. It feels like forever since we've seen a Wings game. Things should be interesting this year, we should be pretty competitive as long as we don't have as many injuries as last year. Jimmy Howard has duties as my favorite player this year since it looks Kirk Maltby will be in Grand Rapids most of the time this year if he doesn't retire all together. I'll miss Maltby but think Jimmy is a pretty awesome replacement! Looking forward to getting the Stanley Cup back this year! LET'S GO RED WINGS!!!!
Trying something new!
I thought I'd give this a shot...maybe post my thoughts and ideas about things I've tried or experiences I've had. I'm getting married next July and I have tons of ideas for the wedding and blogging my help me get those ideas organized! More to come soon!!
